Does this sound like you?

  • You have an affinity for the US and have gained some knowledge on the requirements of American industrial customers through a variety of on-site assignments.
  • You have a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or automation technology. You have experience from mechanical engineering and plant engineering, preferably from filling technology.
  • Solid knowledge of PLC programming, including Siemens S7 (Step 7, TIA, WinCC, Allen Bradley), ideally also experience in industrial image processing and/or knowledge of robot technology, especially Kuka KRC4.
  • A solution-oriented approach to your new tasks as well as initiative, commitment, results, quality orientation and a sense of responsibility in daily activities are a matter of course for you.
  • You are a perfect fit for us if you also value teamwork, are resilient, flexible, and willing to learn.
  • You are able to act independently and you emphasize quality and achieving goals.
  • You speak German, and your English is also very good.
  • You will enjoy the high level of personal responsibility and travel associated with the position.

Are you interested?

  • Installation and repair of our plants.
  • Troubleshooting plant malfunctions.
  • Servicing and maintenance, including assessing whether spare parts are needed.
  • Creation and expansion of service instructions for servicing and maintenance (checklists).
  • You are familiar with reading and interpreting electrical diagrams and program structures.
  • You are able to set up plants according to the planning drawing, also as a supervisor. You are familiar with managing personnel.
  • You are responsible for the commissioning and quality acceptance of our plants, including the training / instruction of customer staff.
  • During commissioning, you optimize our plants with respect to software and mechanics.
  • Close inter-departmental exchange with the aim of ensuring consistency is a matter of course for you.
  • Plant and customer support on the phone and via VPN.
  • All work is carried out taking into account all applicable safety regulations.

What to expect!

  • After an intensive training phase of about six months at our headquarters in Lübeck, you will move to northern California for a period of two to five years to support our young US subsidiary GREIF-VELOX America, where you will provide the foundation of our service organization.
  • Your focus is on looking after our North American customers, and you can also support international service calls if required. Presuming that we grow accordingly, there is the prospect of taking on a group management function for our US section down the line.
