The GREIF-VELOX DryVac stands out with a major advantage: it consumes up to 70% less energy compared to traditional water ring pumps—without compromising on process performance. Even in comparison with double diaphragm pumps, energy savings of over 50% are achievable. With a motor power of just 6.5 kW, the system significantly lowers operating costs, making it a real efficiency booster.

Example calculation: At 8,000 operating hours per year and an average energy use of only 2.6 kW, users can save approximately €12,800 annually in electricity costs — such as during the packaging of silica.

Developed in collaboration with Busch Vacuum Solutions, the GREIF-VELOX DryVac operates using dry-running claws — no water, lubricants, or coolants required. This makes the system virtually wear-free, significantly reduces maintenance needs, and completely eliminates water consumption. An intelligent HMI panel provides clear visualization of all process parameters and instantly reports any system errors — ensuring full control with intuitive operation.

Thanks to its compact and modular design, the DryVac can be stacked for space-saving integration into existing production setups. With decentralized vacuum generation, the system simplifies overall infrastructure, reducing both capital expenditures and ongoing operating costs.
