New shareholders for GREIF-VELOX

GREIF-VELOX Maschinenfabrik GmbH, Lübeck, has been acquired from the previous parent company, Maschinenfabrik Möllers GmbH, Beckum, as part of a management buy-out by Managing Director Ralf Drews and other members of the management team and the Hamburg-based investment company BPE.

By taking this step towards independence as a medium-sized company, the growth strategy that has already been successfully initiated in recent years is to be continued dynamically. In future, the company will focus exclusively on its core competencies of producing high-quality bagging systems, palletizing robots, filling systems and high-performance full-line systems for international customers. As an independent, owner-managed company, innovation and reliability are at the forefront of the clearly defined corporate strategy. The positive market environment for the key customer sectors of chemicals, petrochemicals, food and building materials offers excellent growth prospects for GREIF-VELOX as a specialized supplier of high-quality, individualized systems.

Increasing regulatory requirements, energy and raw material efficiency, digitalization with innovative service concepts in the area of predictive maintenance as well as the classic expectations of a traditional German machine manufacturer in terms of innovation, quality, safety and reliability offer GREIF-VELOX the opportunity to continue to distinguish itself as a technology leader in the future.

With the new corporate structure and the focus on GREIF-VELOX's core competencies, the conditions have been created for continued steady organic growth and, if necessary, complementary inorganic growth.

The partner of the management team, the Hamburg-based investment company BPE, has focused on supporting management buy-outs in the German SME sector for over 20 years. In addition to group spin-offs, the long-term investment strategy focuses on succession planning for German family businesses and the implementation of buy-and-build concepts. The existing GREIF-VELOX management team led by Managing Director Ralf Drews will continue to be responsible for the operational management of the company and will be reinforced by an experienced advisory board.
