In the press: BVP 4.40

Management change at the top of packaging machine manufacturer Greif-Velox from Lübeck: Since February 1, 2024, the previous Director Sales & Marketing, Sebastian Pohl, has joined the management team with Thorsten Köll. The previous Chairman of the Management Board, Ralf Drews, is leaving the company.

"We are delighted to be able to focus even more strongly as a team on the requirements of the market and our customers from now on," say the two Managing Directors. "We are confidently building on the successes of recent years and will continue to drive the company forward with strategic thinking and a commitment to excellence and innovation." With its international expansion course, Greif-Velox has recently been able to further expand its market position in the field of liquid and powder filling. In particular in the field of bagging ultra-light powders, such as carbon black, it was able to consolidate its global market leadership with the "VeloVac" vacuum system. "Our aim is to convince even more customers of the massive advantages of our technology in terms of efficiency and sustainability," says the new management team.

Consistent internationalization and growth strategy

Thorsten Köll has been part of the management team at Greif-Velox Maschinenfabrik since 2019 and previously steered the fortunes of Gabler Maschinenbau GmbH. Sebastian Pohl joined Greif-Velox in 2020 as Sales Director from Dutch lifting and transport specialist Mammoet. Over the past four years, the 39-year-old has consistently driven forward the company's internationalization and growth strategy with the development of customer-oriented solutions as Director Sales & Marketing.

Transformation to trendsetter in the industry

"We would like to thank Ralf Drews for his great commitment over the past few years," says Sebastian Pohl. "With his actions, he has enabled Greif-Velox Maschinenfabrik to become independent as a medium-sized company and thus transform into a trendsetter in the industry."
